Is Lacto Calamine Effective In The Treatment Of Chickenpox Scars?

Can i use lacto calamime for my chickems scars,last year i have chickem pox bt the scars are still now not gone..the scars pn face has lighten bt on the body..so it is good to use lacto calamine on scars..r my one frmd also suggested histo calamine i should go for that..did both these have any side effects ...n these lotion can be used for other scars also

I understand your concern.
Calamine lotion has the property to repair damaged and inflamed skin and reduce feeling of itching in the skin lesions. It provides a soothening effect on the skin when applied.
However, it doesn't​ have anti-melanin effect to reduce scar.
Scars from chicken pox will eventually get lighter and disappear on its own without any intervention.
In case it stays for long, then you need to consult Dermatologist for appropriate management.
You can apply calamine lotion of any combination until the skin reaches to normalcy.
