hello
I read your statement and i understand your concern
If he has stomach pain and vomiting due to gastric irritation ie
gastritis, then pain killers and anti fever drugs like
Ibuprofen are not given, because they decrease protection of stomach wall against the gastric HCL
But since, he has fever and vomiting, its important to diagnose his condition
It could be upper
gastroenteritis ie inflammation of upper gut, that is called gastrooesophegeal reflux disease. Since fever is also there, its important for you to test for H.pylori and Typhoid.
If i were his doctor, i would test him for Typhoid and H.pyroli, and then start therapy. If fever is still high, you can give panadol but along with stomach protective pill ie
Proton Pump Inhibitor. The good one among this group is
Omeprazole ie Tab Risek 20mg two times a day before meal.
in Nutshell
> Give him panadol three times a day along with omeprazole twice a day
> Take him to physician to diagnose the cause of fever and vomiting and nuasuea
Thanks
