Is IBS Or Crohns, Disease Related With Loose Stools And Abdominal Incontinence?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here... I had a colonoscopy done and the Doctor took specimens for histology. The possible diagnosis is terminal ileitis, inflamatory bowel disease and I also heard him mention Crohns disease. There were several areas of white plaques throughout my colon and the terminal end by the ileum was extremely inflamed. I present with cramping pain in my right lower abdomen, umbilical region, low back ache, abdominal distension, bouts of loose stools followed by constipation, nausea. What is my possible diagnosis?

You'll have to wait on the biopsies. Sometimes blood tests can also help with the diagnosis. What you describe sounds like Crohn's ileitis and Crohns colitis . The patchiness suggests the diagnosis. White placques can be associated with c. difficil colitis also but it usually does not have ileitis. There are stool tests for c. diff and there is usually a history of recent antibiotics. Crowns is a form of inflammatory bowel disease. The other form is ulcerative colitis which is more confluent and without ileitis

Hi,Dear,Thanks for your query to HCM.
Dear I read your query and reviewed it with context to your query facts.
I understood your health concerns and feel Concerned about them.

Based on the facts of your query, you seem to suffer from-
Crohn's with Entero-Colitis causing abdominal incontinence.
The Terminal ileitis with Inflammatory bowel with white plaques from enteric grannulomas in the base of the multiple ulcers..
This causes right lower abdominal and umbilical pain with low back ache and bouts of loose motions followed with Constipation.Nauses is from Reflux acidity and gastritis.
Your Diagnosis-
So basically you have "Crohn's Disease" with IBS-which is auto-immune disorder, which leads to to grannulomatous ulcerations in lower part of ileus to maximum.
Hope this would resolve your health issues in the best way possible.
Welcome for any further query in this regard.

Good Day!!
