Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

* As per my clinical experience, the symptoms may or may not be Crohn`s disease.
* I recommend to undertake basic lab tests, CT scan of the abdomen & pelvis with upper GI scopy and colonoscopy for the final diagnosis and further management guidelines.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here... I had a colonoscopy done and the Doctor took specimens for histology. The possible diagnosis is terminal ileitis, inflamatory bowel disease and I also heard him mention Crohns disease. There were several areas of white plaques throughout my colon and the terminal end by the ileum was extremely inflamed. I present with cramping pain in my right lower abdomen, umbilical region, low back ache, abdominal distension, bouts of loose stools followed by constipation, nausea. What is my possible diagnosis?

I have been having intestinal issues for the last 2 years. My symptoms are as follows; moderate to severe intestinal pain and cramps in lower intestines. I have had the following tests done: Blood work, MRE of small bowel, CT scan with just vein contrast, and colonoscopy with biopsies. All were normal. My gastro doc thinks I have a bad case of IBS. In your opinion, is there any chance this could be crohns disease?
