Hello and welcome to HCM I have read and understood your query I hope this will help You are having moderate degree anemia.. GLUCORED tab contains GLIBENCLAMIDE AND METFORMIN.prolonged use of METFORMIN has been associated with anemia..and it has been found that prolonged use if METFORMIN impairs absorption of but B12 from gut which is a necessary vitamin for blood synthesis in our bones..however in diabetics another entity called ANEMIA OF CHRONIC DISEASE can occur due to uncontrolled diabetes and its systemic adverse effects ... I would suggest to you that after your PHYSICIANS ADVISE you should start using B-COMPLEX multivitamin tablets.. Anemia related to GLUCORED will respond to them ..in pt with anemia OF CHRONIC DISEASE ERTHROPEITIEN inj produce an excellent response.. Also u should have your RENAL function tests monitored regularly and RBS Control should be strict with diet control.. Try using meat and fresh leafy vegetables.. I will be happy to know if this was helpful Regards Dr faeza
