Is Gelusil Advisable For Chronic Gastric Trouble?

I seem to have an indigestion problem, my stomach keeps bloating though there's no pain or any other problem. I've been treated by a gastroenterologist after blood test, stool test, sonography and even an endoscopy have been done. However, the relief is short-lived. I find that every few days I need to take Gelusil which is the only thing that brings relief. Is it safe to take Gelusil so often? Should I have any other tests done, whom should I go to?

Hello,
Yes it is safe to take Gelusil, you can continue to take it on an as required basis.
I would suggest you take a proton pump inhibitor with prokinetic for a period of at least 8 weeks. I would suggest you follow up with your gastroenterologist as sometimes dose adjustment of medications might be needed to attain optimal relief.
Have you lost weight/ have low hemoglobin/ reduced appetite. If no then you do not need any further tests at the moment
Hope this helps
Do get back in case you have further queries
