Is Epstein-Barr Virus Infection Contagious?

If I ve been diagnosed with Epstein Barr in the past and have recently been running a low grade fever for abt a month which has now turned to a 102 degree fever and been extremely tired - seeing my dr tomorrow for a work up but I nanny an 11 mth old and in the event it s a flare up of EBV I m concerned if I should take time away from my job if exposing the baby to my possible EBV would be putting him at risk?
