Is Dicyclomine Hcl The Right Medication For Diarrhea?

I am a paraplegic. Am 71 years old. I have had soft stool or diarrhea for the past 4 months. I had a colonoscopy on dec 2, 2013. Imodium did not help. I now am taking dicyclomine hcl. Just started this med today, 5/18/2014. Is this the right meds. Please need help

“As” per your clinical history is concerned you have loose motion and you are taking [Dicyclomine hcl] and it is an antispasmodic and it will avail you symptomatically you can take it if your doctor has advised you but in my own opinion go to root cause of diarrhea by testing your stool[RE/ME/culture]

You can do few things at home like this may help-:

1)You can increment following supplements in your day to day diet which contains natural calcium [Broccoli, Calcium-fortified products, such as breads and juices, Canned salmon, Milk substitutes, such as soy milk and rice milk, Oranges, Pinto beans, Rhubarb, Spinach], You can additionally take calcium supplements

2)Limit all your dairy products

3)Choosing small servings of dairy. Sip diminutive servings of milk — up to 4 ounces at a time. The more diminutive the accommodating, the less likely it is to cause gastrointestinal problems. Saving milk for mealtimes. Drink milk with other foods. This slows the digestive process and may abate symptoms of GI problems.
