Hi,

Few reports states that, babies born to mothers who is taking amphetamine are at high risk of developing premature delivery, low birth weight and withdrawal symptoms like dysphoria, agitation, hyperexcitabilitiy etc.

As you are on the medication for almost 5 years, it's better to consult your doctor in order to stop or switching over to other drugs which are not dangerous during early pregnancy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Get well soon.

Regards,
Dr. Yogapriya V, General and family physician
