Hello,

I have gone through your query and understood your concern. There are no reported teratogenic effects of the use of Daflon during pregnancy in animal studies. Thus, you can use the medication if strictly needed for the treatment of hemorrhoids. Since you are in the early weeks of pregnancy, I personally would not prefer any medication other than the usual supplements given.

If the hemorrhoids are acutely inflamed, you will definitely need medication. If not, you can try dietary measures like increased fiber and water to see that you avoid constipation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shanti Vennam
