Is Clotrimazole Vaginal Tablet Safe During Pregnancy?

morning, i am a lady of 27years old of age, i am pregnant with my first, a few days back i discovered that am having a smelling discharge and now it seems serious....i went to a chemist and explained to them that i have a problem and i am 9 weeks pregnant, they gave me Glenmark Clotrimazole1 Vaginal Tablet, i just wanna know if its safe to use it...thank you in advance

ThanKs for the query. I understand your concern.
Yes, being local in action.. clotrimazole is safe for use in early pregnancy..(₩where oral clotrimazole is not advisable).
However the vaginal pills will help.. only if you have fungal vaginitis.. which is charactorised by white discharge & itching. In case you don't have such symptoms... you should consult your gyna cologist for pescribtion of suitable medicine.
