Is Cheston Cold Medication Able To Cure Cough And Watery Nose?

Hello doc, I'm having cough from last 4-5 days with watery nose. My voice has grown heavy. It may partially be due to the changing weather. But its not growing better. I have taken two doses of cheston cold but no relief. I am 21 years old. Please help!

Hi,looking at your symptoms it seems that you might be suffering from allergic rhinitis and mild laryngitis.
Cheston cold tablet will help in reducing nasal symptoms and improvement in voice.
For cough,you can also get benefit by using a cough expectorant(Ambroxol/Guaifenesin).
Voice rest is neccesary.Avoid shouting or whispering.Speak after taking deep breath in a soft manner ,only when necessary.
Do steam inhalation.
Avoid Cold,spicy,oily food.
Avoid Dust and other pollutants.
Drink lots of fluids.
