Is Chemo With Carboplatin And Dexamethasone Safe For A 57year Old Lung Cancer Patient?
Hello Doctor, I am 57 year old male with stage IIA lung cancer (Squamos cell) surgery was performed and my right middle lobe of my lung was removed. My oncologist recommends chemo with carboplatin and dexamethasone for 4 treatments. Is this safe to do?

You are suffering from early lung ca and post resection adjuvant therapy in the form of chemotherapy is required. The usual protocol is to administer 2 drug combination rather than single drug. You have been advised single drug carboplatin. The other drug dexamethasone is a steroid and not chemo. Hope you understand well.
