Is Cetirizine Advisable While On Montelukast?

My doctor prescribed me Montelukast sod 10 mg ( Singular) and a over the counter allergy relief pill Cetirizine HCI 10 mg to take both daily. I left not asking if I take them together or at separate times? The Cetirine I gave been on for over a month taking it first thing in the morning.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
There should be no problem with taking both the Singulair and the Cetirizine together since there should be no adverse interactions between the two of them. I would suggest, though, only taking the Cetirizine on an as needed basis when the Singulair alone is not totally effective
