Is Candid V Gel Safe While Planning For Pregnancy?

Hi. Kindly inform me following.. 1) when to use candid v gel? Either before periods or after periods.? 2) how much earlier of periods and how many days to use this gel? 3) can we have intercourse after inserting gel? 4) we are planning for child. Can this usage affect pregnancy? 5) does such itching n burning in vigina and white discharge, delays pregnancy? Sir/madam your earlier reply is expected. Regards. Sonali

Dear patient
Itching and white discharge from vagina may be due to vaginal infection and it needs to be treated completely before you plan for pregnancy. Because vaginal infection may spread to uterus and also to your partner. So apply candid gel twice a day and take tab ciprofloxacin 500mg twice a day with tab metronidazole 400mg thrice a day for 7 days. There is chance if abortion if you plan pregnancy during genital infection. Gel should be used after period is over as if it's uelsed during periods it will be washed off and not effective.you can have sex after inserting gel without any harm.
