Hello! Welcome on HCM! Regarding your concern, I would explain that these drugs are not preferred for chronic use as preventive therapy in migraine. They should be used only during migraine attacks as painkillers. From the other hand the chronic intake of such drugs, can lead to chronic drug induced headache. I would recommend consulting with your attending physician and discussing the possibility of starting a preventive therapy like a calcium channel blocker (verapamil), a betablocker (propranolol) or an antidepressant (amytriptiline, sertraline, etc.) for the chronic prevention of headaches.
