Is Bera Test Compulsory To Diagnose Sensorineural Bilateral Hearing Loss?

Hello doctor
My son is 6years old.only recently we found out that he has40% sensorineural bilateral hl. So far Pta and oae has been done. Both tests show the same results. So we went to purchase hearing aids for him. But there the other audiologist told us that bera test was a must to decide the details of his hl. We are in a dilemma. Please be so kind to assist.
Thank you. God bless you.
