Is Benadryl Advisable To Be Taken After A Ketorolac Injection Shot?
Hi, I had a 60 mg injection of ketorolac for some wrist pain about 9 hours ago today. Is is safe to take an Advil liquigel or possibly a Benedryl? I always take one or the other to help me sleep but am afraid today because of the injection. Thanks, Laura
You can use either of these since the injection was taken 9 hours occur.
The advil is in the same family of drugs as ketorolac but it can be used after this period of time. There are some persons who use a 20mg dose of ketoralac right after receiving the injection followed by 10mg every 4 to 6 hours. This means that it is safe to use this or another type of medication in this drug family such as advil.
Benadryl is not in this family of medications and does not interact, so it can also be used.
I hope this helps
