Is BP Of 140/70 Considered Safe?

My 17 yr old daughter has been diagnosed with gestational hypertension. Her blood pressure was in the high 140s/80s range before she was induced for it but after she gave birth it got higher..168/99. She is now taking 3 labeterols a day and today her blood pressure was 140/70. Is that okay?

Hi i read your query very carefully.

The Bp now is at upper normal levels. This is a typical reaction from preeclamsia and will normalize within days.

If the hypertension persist after 2 weeks further examinations are needed.
