Is Augmentin Advisable For Small Boil On Buttocks?

I have a small boil on the butt area, but not close to the follicles. I went to the walk in clinic and the Dr. drained some of it with a needle, and prescribed Augmentin 875/125. I took a sitz bath a little while ago and was able to push our more puss, however I m hesitant about picking up the prescription because I m already on penicillin for a tooth infection. The Dr. at the clinic said to quit the penicillin and take augmentin instead. We don t have drug insurance and wondered what to do. Thank you. Helga Heath

augmentin is good for your above condition. it is a broad spectrum antibiotic that is it kills more bacteria than plain penicillin. augmentin use doesn't need penicillin it takes case the functions of pencillin. so take augmentin it will cure both the butt infection and tooth.
