Is Amlong MT 50 Same As Amlopin AT?

For Blood pressure, My mother takes Amlong MT 50 - which has two compounds

Amlodipine 5 mg and Metoprolol Succinate 50 mg

Extended Release Tablets

What is the action of both compounds



I have been recently prescribed Amlopin AT for blood pressure. Is this similar to above medicine

Yes, they are very similar because they contain amlodpine and a beta blocker. However, the beta blocker in amlopin AT is atenolol and not metoprolol. These classes of medications work towards reducing blood pressure to normal values in patients with high blood pressure.
