Is Alkasol Advisable For Urinary Tract Infection?
Hi I have urine infection . the colour was red and now it is normal in colour but painful. the same issue i had before two years. And i consulted a gynecologist and had urine test. Then she suggested me to take alkasol and one more medicine. I do not have that prescription with me. Can i take alkasol without consulting the doctor ?

Hello dear.
Welcome to HCM. It seems you have dysmetabolic nephropaty. Alkasol causes alkalinisation of urine, relives discomfort in urinary tract infection, reduces chances of uric acid stones in the initial stages of uricosuric therapy. You can repeat course of treatment. Take Orally- 15-30ml twice or thrice daily, dissolved in water. I also recommend you to take Cystone 2tablets 2 times and Stone -1 for 1 month. If you have lots of WBC in your urine then you should also add antibiotic -Cefixime 200mg twice a day for 5 days.
