Is Aleve Or Advil Better For Pain And Inflammation?
is Aleve or Advil better for pain/inflammation? My daughter is 14 and fractured her kneecap and probably tore her ACL over the weekend in a dance competition. Getting MRI tomorrow. Taking Percocet q6h which isn't touching the pain sadly. But the ER doctor said to take Advil or Aleve, ATC, and wondering if one is better than the other? Thanks.

Persons react differently to medications and may have varied responses . Having said that however a medical study looking at 10 medications in this class of drugs found that naproxen (aleve) was among the drugs that worked most effectively whereas persons had an intermidiate response to other drugs including ibuprofen.
She should use the medication on a full stomach.
