Is AV grafting beneficial for a diabetic having low flow rate through fistula ?

I am 44 years old, diabetic, undergoing haemodialysis for the past 4 years. I have had AV fistula in use for the past 4 years. Now my doctor has advised me to get AV graft, as the flow rate is low through fistula and dialysis in not complete? Do I benefit from grafting? Is it required?
