Is 70000 WBC Curable By Chemotherapy?

hi doctor i am jyothi my friend of age 3oyears was pregnant now 4 days before during her 9th month doctors detected 70000 wbc when she complained of breathlessness.From today onwards chemotheropy is starting .they have taken out the baby . baby is good .i wnat to know is it curable.will she be allright.

Normally W B Cs count is 4000- 11000 cmm .
In your 's friend case the count is very very high . We should know , what is the reason of such high value of w b c.
This is called as leucocytosis , ma be due to .
1 Infection or due to septicemia , this is very common cause that any type of infection in body increase the w b c count and this is normal . This situation is curable with the help of chemotherapy .
2 Metabolic disorders as eclampsia ( may be in your friend case due to pregnancy ) .If this is due to this reason , so get in regular check up of blood pressure and deal acoordingly.
3 Bone marrow abnormality , get in peripheral blood film examination from marrow by an expert.
Leukeamia is most prominent cause . In my opinion wait and watch till situation improve.
Regular monitoring is very very important so remain in contact with a physician till complete cure.
