Irritation, Itching, Swelling In Vagina, Yellow Discharge. Possible Reason?

Hi there I have quite a few questions or symptoms I guess .. I never had a problem with my vagina until just recently I ve been with the same partner although we don t use condoms I started with vaginal itchy and it was so itchy and irritable some discharge Now lately I have had off and ob vaginal swelling , itchy irritation and yellow discharge almost like cottage cheese thickness ! Plz help thank you

Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
You are showing signs of vagintis. Vagintis is inflammation of the vagina and can be caused by bacteria, fungi or protozoa (parasitic). Most common is fungal infection, commonly called as thrush. This is caused by yeast infection which presents with severe itching, white curd like foul smelling discharge. I suggest you keep those areas clean and dry. Application of antifungal/antibacterial cream over the area for two weeks. Tab Atarax 25mg for the itching. If does not reduce, get a high vaginal swab culture and sensitivity to rule out other causes if infection. Get in touch with a gynecologist for prescription of antibiotics based on test results. Thanks.
