Welcome to HealthcareMagic forum.

Any changes in the menstruation can be an indication of pregnancy. If your periods were lighter than usual and you were involved in unprotected sexual intercourse, then this can be a sign of pregnancy.

Another possibility that needs consideration (in view of heavy periods a few weeks early followed by positive home pregnancy test) is abortion.

A careful examination by your gynecologist and ultrasound examination is warranted to confirm the possibility. So do visit your doctor at the earliest.

Hope this helps.

Wish you good health.
