But just by symptoms we cannot come to one conclusion regarding pregnancy. Pain after intercourse can occur due to causes like postoperative tear, pelvic infection etc. So you once consult gynecologist, get examined to rule out these possibilities. Then with her advice, you can go for ultrasound. Ultrasound helps in detecting signs of pregnancy, pelvic infection and other causes of delayed periods like poly cystic ovary disease etc. If there are signs of infection, you may need one course of antibiotics.
