Irregular Heart Beats, EKG Showed Sinus Arrhythmia, Family History Of Heart Disease. Worrisome?

My family has a history of heart disease and early death. My mother has AFib (62 years old, diagnosed with murmer at 35). I am 38 and had an ekg that showed sinus arrhythmia , I do feel episodes of strange heart beats or quivering. Should I be concerned? I smoked for 15 years, but quit last year. Do I need a follow up with a cardiologist?

Hi,Sinus arrhythmia as such doesn't need any treatment.Good that you have quit smoking. There is no harm in consulting a physician/Cardiologist and get youself a thorough health checkup-remember prevention is always better than cure! Take care..
