Irregular heart beat, palpitations, some mild chest pain, extreme dizziness, loss of appetite, vomiting, insomnia. What does it indicate?

Help! I am 37, always been reasonably healthy except for a bad migraine condition In the past 2 weeks I have suddenly begin to have the following symptoms: Irregular heart beat, palpitations, some mild chest pain , extreme dizziness , loss of appetite , vomiting, insomnia , intense pain on the lower side of my back (almost in the hip/buttocks area, right side only) This has continued almost continuos for about 2 weeks. However the last 48 hours I am having even worse symptoms..................the veins in my hands, wrists and feets seem to have shrunken to invisible, I have intermittent numbness and tingling in the hands, feet, face and scalp. I thought maybe i was dehydrated and drank a huge amount of Gatorade last night which seemed to help for a bit. But now I feel about the same..not the numness, but chest pain and have added a hacking cough! I know go to the doctor is the best answer. But I am hoping someone can give me an idea of what this might BE so I can be prepared. HELP!!

your problem can be a wide range of things! it could be something as simple as stress- it can cause your body to go haywire like that, or if could go to something as serious as a tumor or cancer! you definately need to go to the doctor and get some tests run!

My brother in law has been to the er twice now and has been sick for two months. Nobody can seem to figure out what is wrong with him. His chest hurts, he feels like his heart is beating irregular and he is very dizzy and his hand even keeps getting numb. He had a heart attack about 5 years ago. Do you know what might be the problem?

I am a 51 y.o. white female, slightly overweight. No real health problems. My question: I have had NO sexual intercourse with my husband for several years due to very low libido and disinterest. If I were to have sex again with him, could it be dangerous, as I wonder if I m dried up and I get irregular heart beats if I get sexually stimulated. My heart rate flies and I sometimes get mild chest pain in orgasm. It frightens me. Please help! I m afraid to have sex!Thank you. Mrs. Beaver

My friend has told me ( he is 82) that when he lies down on his right side his chest hurts. I noticed his shortness of breath two nights ago when we had to walk about 200 yards to a ball park. He is complaining of indigestion- 2 days now. He has had a stent for 10 years, otherwise is in good health. Last night he did not sleep well. He does not feel it is a heart problem as he saw his cardiologist 3 months ago and was dealing with just some high BP-= 130/90

Hi there. I am a 35 year old female 5'7 155 lbs with a 7 month old baby delivered by cesarean. I have had shortness of breath that worsens with physical exertion since the last month of my pregnancy but am otherwise in good health. The last 2 months it has been getting progressively worse to the point where I have to catch my breath sometimes in conversation. I am taking domperidone to increase my breastmilk production and have been for 2 months. I have been to the ER where I have had an ECG, ct scan, x-ray and bloodwork, as well as a pulmonary function test. All results were within normal ranges except my oxygen levels in my blood were low - however the test was taken peripherally, not through a central line. Also, my resting heart rate was 118, and when I did a stress test, within 2 minutes my heart rate was at 200. They are sending me for an echocardiogram next. Do you think this could be adult onset asthma or a reaction to domperidone or is it my heart?

I've had many CAT scans and heart moniters in the past to find out if there are any coronary issues. All thats been found is SVT. Sometimes it's better than others but on a more frequent basis my heart seems to pound pretty hard. The actual lub beat feels like it's going to pound out of my chest and I'm just sitting down. Many times this leads to panic and shortness of breath. I've been told there is nothing I can do about it. Does this mean I have a higher probability of heart failure? How can I control my heart pace? Are there any techniques other than breath control?
