Intense Pain Inside Nostril With Foul Smell, Slight Scabbing. Remedy?
the inside of my left nostril has been hurting for about a week. to the point where if i move that side of my face sometimes its hurts as well. I can also sometimes smell a bad odur coming from it. I have been using vaseline but as soon as that drys out the pain comes back. There is also some scabbing at times as well. The pain increases when the sacb goes away.
The following reasons could be causing your symptoms:
-folliculitis (infection of a hair follicle forming a cavity containing pus and dead tissue resulting in pain and swelling)
-sinus infection (that also has a bad odor)
-foreign body (presence of a foreign body that also results in ad odor)
Please consult an ENT (ear, nose, throat) specialist at the earliest, so the doctor can visualize and diagnose your condition.
