Intense pain in labia minora while shaving, irritation, bumps, burning during urination. Cure?

Hi, yesterday evening I was shaving and expierenced an intense pain on my labia minora and thought i had cut myself with my razor. However, I woke up this morning and when I peed it stung really badly so I took a look and my skin looked irritated and I had a few bumps. There s no itching and not a lot of burning unless I am urinating or it rubs against my clothing. Is there any treatment for this issue or explanation??

Hello ma'am.

The process of shaving has caused irritation to the hair follicles resulting in such a presentation.

The best thing for you to do in such a situation is to take luke warm water sitz baths several times a day. Also warm compresses applied to the region through the day will help. In available, you could also add epsom salt to your baths (although not mandatory).

Please increase your water intake, and if the burning sensation continues you might have to visit a doctor to get your urine analysed. But your presentation is most probably due to the act of shaving and nothing else.

Hope this helps.

Take care.
