Injured Shoulder In A Sky Wreck, Causing Bruise At Bottom Of Armpit. Is It A Ligament Tear?
I had a ski wreck a week ago and inured my shoulder . Can t remember if it was slamming into a mound of snow (mogul) or if it was jerked very hard and fast from the landing while holding ski poles. However, my shoulder still hurts and it s been 8 days now and I noticed a bruise had formed towards the bottom of my armpit. No shoulder bruising which makes me wonder if I tore a muscle, ligament , and/or tendon?

Hello, Thanks for writing to us The symptoms you have described are more likely to be symptoms of muscles or ligament strain. Treatment guidelines for a muscle strain or pull is as follows - * Adequate rest for a few days * Ice packing over the affected area once in 2 hours * Once the acute pain subsides, Moist heat application over the affected muscles * Gradual & gentle stretching exercises * analgesic & muscle relaxants as needed If it persist even after it , consult your doctor for examination. You may get a MRI to see any ligament or muscle tear.
I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
