Injured Foot. On Ibuprofen. Why Does Foot Get Cold?

My daughter turned her foot over on the stairs. We visited the ER for xrays. Nothing is broken, but it is a bad sprain . She has an air cast and crutches. She has to stay off her foot for one week. She takes ibuprofen and ices it. We noticed that her foot gets cold and her toes and foot turn purple. Is this normal?

Your daughter had sprain foot. treatment is Rest, Ice fomatation, Compression, Elevation of foot.

But cold extrimity & purple colour of toes is not normal.

It shows doubtful vascularity.

So yo have to visit your doctor for these signs.
