Hi Kimber,

Meth is extremely addictive because it releases a lot of dopamine in certain areas of the brain, which gives a sense of high. People are forced to take it again to get the high. Gradually more and more of the drug is needed for the same high and one becomes fully dependent on it. It makes people feel good and very energetic. They appear to be cheerful and talk a lot. But in the long run, it damages the entire body, changes the facial appearance and can even cause death. Experienced doctors are able to identify if one is high and know how to deal with them. The amount which can kill a person is highly variable and depends on many factors.

Hope this answers your query. Best wishes.
