Hello and welcome to HCM,

When infants develop vomiting and diarrhea, there is rapid fluid loss from their body. This fluid loss is much more than that in adults.
So, a rapid fluid replacement is required. You are taking care of the fluid loss by giving ORS.
Vomiting and diarrhea are common in infants and the most common cause is infection.
Infants are very prone to infections.
Continue the breast feeding.
besides you can give dal water, butter milk and coconut water. Other solid foods like mashed banana, rice-dal, mashed boiled egg , etc can be started once the child starts accepting solid foods.

Thanks and take care.
