Infant With Cough And Cold, Prescribed Levolin And Budecort. Is It Safe To Use This Medicine?
Hi...our daughter is 5 months old and has cough and cold .....we visited a doc and he prescribed Levolin 0.5 and Budecort 0.62 (half respules) to be inhaled in a nebulizer for three days morning afternoon and night... Can you suggest if there will be any side effects for these prescriptions...also if there will be any rashes formed.?? Ramesh Selvaraj
Hi and thanks for the query,
the drugs prescribed most of them have anti allergic and anti inflammatory effects.Rashes or allergies are not the expected side effects from this drugs. These are drugs designed to instead fight against allergic ad hypersensitivity reactions as a whole. Respect of the prescriptions as prescribed by your treating physician is the ideal thing to do. However, unexpected effects could rarely occur with any external case. In such an event, stop the drug and report immediately to your treating physician. For now, you need not bother.
Thanks and best regards,
Luchuo, MD.
