You can give Phenergan in prescribed dose in your child.
It is a routine practice to advise Phenergan even in children below the age of 2 years.
But if it is given in prescribed dose, it wont lead to any side effects.
The main concern with the drug is sedation and drowsiness.
If you are concerned about the drug or child is drowsy with this medication, you can ask your doctor for an alternative medication for cold such as levocetrizine or chlorpheniramine maleate.
