Infant Having Cough, Chest Congestion. Could It Be From DPT And HIB Shots?

hi my 19 month daughter has developed cough. Seems Due to chest congestion. She had mild fever past night, I can't be sure that was because of the cold or because of the Dpt and Hib shots she took day before. Also, on giving calpol to her last night, she threw up and a lot of Flem came out. Please advice if I should start giving her Citrizin or Livolin syrup? She has lost the appetite also.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.

Fever is a complication of those vaccines that were given.

But cough and cold are not complications of those vaccines.

It could be because of some infection or allergy.

I advise you not to start any self medication in that age group and take her to the doctor for further advise.

Continue to ask further queries as required.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
