Pediatrician 's  Response

If you feel he din`t sleep well because of nasal block, you can try plain saline nasal drops, one drop in each nostril three to four times a day for about three days.

But you have to be sure that he has no associated ear problems that might make him cranky.
Middle ear problems can happen in association with cold, more often in bottle fed infants.

If symptoms persist or he gets fever or not feeding well, its better to see your pediatrican.
Hope I answered your question.

Emergency Medicine Specialist Dr. R.A. Singh's  Response
Hi Crystal,
Thanks for writing your query.
One of the common cause of disturbed sleep, in cold, can be due to nasal blockage.
You can put one or two drops of normal saline nasal drops in the each nostril at a time.
These nasal drops are easily available at the chemist shop and are very helpful in curing blocked nose due to cold.
Also keep the room temperature at a comfortable level.
If the problem persists, get him examined by a Paediatrician.
I hope this helpful to you.
