Infant, Exclusively Breastfed, Has Yellow Frothy Stools. Started Rolling Over. What Could Be The Cause Of Change?
Hi, My daughter is 3months and 3weeks, she is on exclusive breastfeed . She normally used to have paste-like consistency of stool around once in a day and a lots of regurgitation of milk since her birth. She has started to roll over since 10 days. Since yesterday she is passing watery yellow frothy stool 4-5 times a day. She has no other problems suggestive of infection. What can be the possible cause for change in stools?

It is normal for breast fed babies to sometimes pass several motions a day due to increased gastrocolic reflex.
Relax,if she is active,taking feeds normally.passing urine 4 to 5 times there is nothing to worry.
I suggest you to give lactobaccilus for 2 to 3 days and zinc for 14 days .
You should avoid eating gas forming food items.
Continue with exclusive breast feeding till 6 months of age.

if there is no blood or mucus in the stool..........the change in consistency is not a issue
breast fed babies some times pass stool 4-5 times a day and some times do not pass stool for 3 days or so..........not a issue if the baby is feeding normally and active.....................
color of the stool may vary from green to yellow depending on the intestinal motility........so you need not worry about that
