Infant Can Be Given Iterax Syrup For Rashes?

Hi! My son is 8months old only suffering from rashes. He was prescribed iterax 2mg/ml syrup to take 2ml 2x a day for 5days for pruritus however im in doubt whether to give it because it says on the label for children 12months old to 6years old.my son is only 8months.should i still give it?
