Infant Blinking Only One Eye. Should I Be Worried?

Hi, My 10 week old daughter only blinks one eye. And it doesn t fully shut until she is VERY asleep. From day one family have told me she has a weak eye because it s shut alot but it seems her other eye (the one that doesn t shut) is swollen in comparison. It doesn t seem to bother her and isn t dried out or anything I just wasn t sure if I should worry. Thank you.

Hi from your description it is not clear which eye is abnormal.
does the swollen eye have some discharge?
There are a few conditions which cause the above problems
the eye which looks over closed may be due to congenital ptosis.the eye which does not close properly may be due to facial palsy.anyway you have to approach the doctor to clarify.all the best
