Infant. Diagnosed Amebiasis. Fever, Blood In Loose Stools. No Help From Metronidazole. Can Erceflora Be Given?

my son is 1yr old and his diagnosed that he has amebiasis. his pediarician gave him metronidazole to be taken for 7 days. were on our 4th day now, but it seems his not getting well at all. he still
have a fever and still has blood in his lose bowel. i dont know what to do. the blood in his stool really bothers me. is it normal? how long will it take for my baby to heal? can i give him erceflora?

Thank you for asking question on health care magic
usually amoebic dysentery responds to metronidazole or tinidazole. it may be due to some other infective organism.antibiotics may be used if it is not due to amoebiasis. erciflora is effective in antibiotic resistant diarrhea only
