General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, Mr. Koteeswaran, the baby is having cough due to infection, so far he is been treated for allergy, He needs to be treated with mild antibiotics suitable for small child.
I advise you to consult a pediatritian for diagnosis and treatment.
As he is breast fed it is better to avoid fruits , juices, and sweets.
Thank you.

Pediatrician Dr. E Venkata Ramana's  Response
Hi Koteeswaran,

Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.

For cough, mucolite drops are sufficient.

If the child is having cold, running nose Sinarest can be given in prescribed dose.

But before giving medication, the child needs physical examination by the pediatrician to examine his lungs to look for the presence of abnormal sounds as the treatment will wary with clinical findings.

Hence I advise you to consult the doctor for examination and for prescription of appropriate medication for the child.

Hope I have answered your query.

Regards.

Pediatrician Dr. Y V Siva Sankara Murty's  Response
Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.

You should get your child examined by your doctor. If there is rapid breathing, chest indrawing, poor feeding, repeated vomiting, etc it is a emergency.

Good that you are breast feeding your baby. Continue to exclusively breast feed for six months.

Use medication only after prescription by a doctor.

Continue to ask further queries as required.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
