Increased Sensitivity On The Left Side Spreading To Belly, No Pain While Urination. Worrisome?

It started yesterday morning, my left side is sensitive to touch ( almost that heeby jeeby feeling when you have the flu and someone touches you) the odd sensation has spread to my belly button and is also constant not just from touch. I had thought that it was the start of a Kidney infection but there is no pain when urinating and my urine is clear. Should I be worried?

Dear patient,

Yes, I believe that it warrants immediate examination by a provider, since a migrating pain like that may represent an acute abdominal condition such as appendicitis, which needs to be ruled out.

Yours truly,

Dr Brenes-Salazar MD
Mayo Clinic MN
