In What Way Can Passive Meth Smoking Effect Health Conditions?

New neighbors recently moved into the apartment below mine. Strong, noxious odors began creeping into my apartment. I would awaken at 2 a.m. grasping for breath from smells like plastic burning or strong oven cleaner. The smell permeates my apartment even with windows open. My lungs burn/ache. I've never had dealings with meth labs but a friend suspects that's what it might be. What health effects might I suffer from this? The apartment management says that they can do nothing; the police dept says they can do nothing but that I should phone the fire dept next time I smell the strong electrical/plastic burning smell.

Hello.

The problem here is not the meth itself but the organic volatile solvents used in making and smoking it.

This can cause a chemical bronchitis and you need to see a doctor for that since you may need both an inhaler and a course of prednisone to treat it.
