My husband had open heart surgery 14 months ago, and is now having an issue with a swollen lump right in the middle of his chest in the scare from the incision. Is this something that should be checked by his surgeon? It isn t hot or very sore, but has been itching and getting bigger! Not a bug bite, it is in a spot where the scare didn t heal very well and has been a concern since his operation.
Hi, i am 19 years of age, i had open heart surgery as i was 3 months premature, i grew up with what seemed too feel like nipping in my chest i followed it up with my GP and he said it was trapped nerves from where they operated, i didn t really have much bother with it till last year when i was resting one evening when what felt like my heart suddenly stopped, i contacted my doctor and he said they were heart palpitations are they are normal but recently i have been getting them more recently for longer and my heart rate seems too be higher between 120-130 bpm, is this is sign of something serious as i had my open heart surgery or is this just me being anxious? Thanks
A friend s son 3.5 years old - has been diagnosed with a rare heart disease. He will need to have an open heart surgery fairly soon, most likely within the next 2 weeks. Since this type of operation cannot be performed in Serbia, where he lives, we are looking for a hospital in Europe or USA where this can be done. I would like to ask you if you know by any chance what would be the best children s hospital for this kind of surgery, or if you know anyone who has a child and had a similar procedure done. We are recommended some hospital in London, but I m looking for alternatives in the rest of Europe (Germany, France, ...) and in the USA.
Hello, I am a 39 year old female. I received my second ever kenalog shot for allergies over a week ago. The one previous was a year prior to that. In the past 3 days I have been experiencing heart palpitaions the entire day and night. I have had palpiations for years now, but only once in a while. The palpitions I am now experiencing are continuous. I had been tested about five years ago and was told I had tricuspid and mitral valve regurgitation. Several years later a different doctor sent me for testing and it showed no regurgitation. It doesnt make sense to me. My question is do you think it is possible the palpitations are caused by the kenalog? I was put back on Singulair as well but stopped taking it to see if that was the culprit. I am uneasy with this feeling and it is stressing me out more so worrying about it. Thank you in advance.
My 89 year old father just had a triple bypass and valve replacement. He lost kidney function after the surgery. They are now wanting him to go to a long term acute center, I m guessing because his heart rate registers low in the upper 40 s to mid 50 s. how long can I expect him to last on dialysis
