Fresh fruit and veggies. Avoid food with high sodium content. If they are not on meds to control their blood pressure then perhaps they need to talk with their doctor(s). Green tea will help flush their system which will rid salt from their system. If their bp was through the roof they might be retaining to much fluid which causes the heart to work harder which in turn raises the blood pressure. Sounds like they need to: A. Talk with their doctor and B. Maybe talk with a dietitian. Cut back on the salt intake as well.

hi,thanks for query, first of all to control blood pressure you need to take medicines only.So if the blood pressure is very high first please see your doctor. In general low salt diet is advised to reduce blood pressure.Avoid food containing high amount of fat, that can lead to other problems.Fruits and salads can be taken in plenty in the absence of any other disease which may limit its intake.Regular exercise along with diet is also must.
wishing them good health.
