In Coma After Heart Attack, Responding To Touch, Fingers Moving, Breathing, Brain Not Dead. Survival Chances?
Hi , my mom she's in coma she have a hart atack she stay with out the oxigen for about 20 min. It's bean 14 weaks now she is openin her eys most of the time when you tuch her or call her and her fingers are moving same time she is breathing whith the mashing they did e EEG the brain is not dead they say so can you help me and let me know what we can wait for her please ..
Your mom appears to be recovering already from her coma. Her chances of survival will depend on how she is being treated (I want to believe that she is in good hands already). Her prognosis depend on many factors and this includes her present vital parameters (unfortunately I am not able to close monitor her). How ever, i suggest you get closer to her treating physician and ask him exactly how your mother is evolving and whether or not she will come out of her coma completely. Stroke is a likely possibility given her situation, so that has to be ruled out too and she equally has to be managed as stroke patient until proven orderwise.
Hope this helps
